Legal & Regulatory

Compliance Framework

Our commitment to regulatory compliance, customer protection, and financial integrity across payments and Earn.

Effective date: 1 April 2026

Overview

Six Pillars of Compliance

KYC Verification

All customers must complete identity verification before depositing, sending money, or using Earn products. We verify government-issued ID, proof of address, and conduct liveness checks. Verification is usually completed within 24 hours.

AML Framework

We monitor all deposits, transfers, wires, and Earn transactions for suspicious activity and report to relevant authorities as required. Our AML programme is reviewed and updated regularly.

Segregated Funds

Customer wallet balances and Earn capital are held in accounts segregated from our operational funds, protecting your money in the event of company insolvency.

Sanctions Screening

All customers, transfer recipients, and transactions are screened against international sanctions lists including OFAC, UN, EU, and HMT lists.

Customer Suitability

For Earn products only, we assess suitability during onboarding to ensure Earn plans and Projects are appropriate for each customer's profile and risk tolerance. No suitability assessment is needed to send, receive, or hold money.

Risk Disclosure

We maintain comprehensive risk disclosures for Earn plans and Projects. Customers are required to confirm they understand the risks before moving balance into an Earn product.

Know Your Customer

KYC Policy

Identity Verification

All registered users must submit a valid government-issued identity document (passport, national ID, or driver's licence) and complete a liveness check before their account is approved for deposits, transfers, and Earn products. Documents are verified by our KYC provider using automated and manual review processes, usually within 24 hours.

Proof of Address

Where required by risk assessment, users may be asked to submit a recent utility bill, bank statement, or official letter confirming their residential address. Documents must be dated within the last 90 days.

Enhanced Due Diligence

Customers with high-value transactions, those in higher-risk jurisdictions, or Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) are subject to enhanced due diligence, which may include source of funds verification and additional identity documentation.

Ongoing Monitoring

KYC is not a one-time process. We conduct periodic re-verification of customer information and may request updated documents at any time to maintain compliance with applicable regulations.

Anti-Money Laundering

AML Policy

Transaction Monitoring

All deposits, withdrawals, transfers between users, international wires, crypto deposits, and Earn transactions are monitored for indicators of money laundering, terrorist financing, or other financial crime. Automated rules and manual review are used in combination.

Payment Transaction Monitoring

When you send money, we collect and retain the recipient's details — including their name, account identifier, and bank details for wires — so that each transfer can be screened, traced, and reported where required. Transfers may be held for review, and we may ask you for the purpose of a payment before releasing it.

Suspicious Activity Reporting

Where we identify activity that gives rise to suspicion of money laundering or terrorist financing, we are legally required to file a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) with the relevant financial intelligence unit. We are prohibited by law from informing you if such a report has been filed.

Cash and Anonymity Restrictions

We do not accept cash deposits. Anonymous payment methods and privacy coins are not accepted. All deposits must be traceable to a verified source.

Sanctions Compliance

We screen all customers, transfer recipients, and transactions against applicable sanctions lists at onboarding and on an ongoing basis. Accounts associated with sanctioned individuals, entities, or jurisdictions will be blocked and reported.

Earn Product Warnings

Risk Disclosures

Important: These disclosures apply to Earn plans and Projects, not to money held in your wallet balance. Do not commit money you cannot afford to lose. Past performance does not guarantee future results. These disclosures do not constitute financial advice.

Capital Risk

Earn plans and Projects carry the risk of total or partial loss of the capital you move into them. There is no guarantee that you will recover the amount you commit. This does not apply to money held in your wallet balance.

Liquidity Risk

Capital in an Earn plan is committed for the plan's term, and Projects are illiquid. You may not be able to exit before the end of the applicable term or tranche period. Your wallet balance remains available to send or withdraw at any time.

Market Risk

Projects are exposed to the performance of the underlying companies and to market volatility. Projected yields on Projects cannot be predicted or guaranteed. Earn plans pay the USD interest rate stated on the plan.

Regulatory Risk

The regulatory environment for payments, digital wallets, and private market products is evolving. Changes in regulation may affect the availability or structure of products on the Platform.

Platform Risk

The Platform is operated by x-moneypay, a private company. In the event of insolvency, business disruption, or technical failure, access to your Earn positions may be temporarily or permanently affected.

Concentration Risk

Committing balance to a limited number of Projects or a single Earn plan concentrates your exposure. Spreading capital across multiple products is strongly recommended.
